Gotta love a Sunday nite, a wicked 'Noreaster to navigate through, work early on Monday, etc etc. But enough bitching and moaning. Time to suck it up for another special Live club show. The boys brought the heat again... I don't mean to be redundant, but the energy and passion they played with was crazy and I think even better than Friday nite at the Chameleon. And the sound quality seemed like a perfect 10. Pure nirvana. Unlike Friday nite's pleasantly drunken debacle, I took this one in pretty much booze free, which was a good change-up and made for a precise recollection of what went down. Mainly the same batch of songs, but they mixed up the order and shuffled some in and out. Live still needs to go deeper into its catalog and make the effort to practice / play tunes unheard for years, but I won't go off on that rant (again) here. The show itself was phenomenal and capped off a great weekend. I went with a buddy of mine that hasn't seen Live play in easily 10 years. He's a musician, into a lot of different music, and basically not easily impressed... but, he was blown away by the show, too. So it's not just me and my biased account! It's Wednesday 4/18 as I write this, and I still feel the effects (i.e., tired, but elation from my Live high; and happiness this band still exists and plays their respective asses off)! |
