It was a good show. i thought the May show at the Vic in Chicago was better, but that probably had more to do with the venue itself. The acoustics at this place weren't that great from where I was standing (front and center...about 10 feet from stage) Rattlesnake was the opener, and they did mirror song and beauty of gray, which was cool. White, Discussion and All Over You seemed to particularly rock last night. The crowd was into singing, so the end "we all wanna dance with you" bit went over well, and Ed seemed pretty happy about that. |

Sweet concert. Ed sounded great. Crowd seemed to really get into Lakini's Juice. It was great to hear the underappreciated Voodoo Lady. |

I'd missed many opportunities to see LIVE over the last 12-13 years, so Friday's show was a long time coming... and I was not disappointed. My friend, Greg, and I managed to get a spot in the very front and dead center, right in front of Ed's mic. We had to suffer through 2+ hours of pushing and a horrible opening act, but it was well worth it when LIVE took the stage. Ed was spot on with all the vocals and the band was extremely tight and LOUD... just the way I like my LIVE! Highlights for me (besides the whole show) were "Lakini's Juice," "I Alone," and the one song I just had to hear live, "White, Discussion." You could tell the guys were having a blast on stage and appreciated the feedback they were getting from the small, but passionate crowd. I left the show exhausted, with a slight ring in my already "musically damaged" ears. I also walked away with a set list, a drumstick from Chad, a handshake from Ed, and an amazing appreciation for one of the world's great rock n' roll bands!
