Live, as always, were fantastic again. This was my seventh time seeing them and they never have disappointed. The concert was scheduled to start at 8:00 but there was no opening act. Live started around 8:30. The theater was completely full except for some empty seats in the first few rows. Local celebrities from Fox 2 News were even in the audience (but I won’t mention their names since some of them already have big local egos). About 95% of the crowd stood for the entire show. Ed stated during one of the first songs that he wasn't sure about the audience but once he realized they were into it he seemed more motivated and started to be much more outgoing. He interacted with the crowd, pointed out people, and touched hands with those in the front. During "White Discussion" he forgot one of the opening lyrics and made fun of himself during the song. The rest of the band was great too. My wife and I truly enjoyed the concert. The only criticism I would like to make is about final part of the set list. Instead of playing songs like Voodoo Lady (a concert staple), Sofia, and Mirror Song I would much rather hear songs like "Turn My Head" and "Simple Creed". I was also hoping to hear "Love Shines", my favorite song off of the new album. Overall I loved the show and hope to see Live back again. |

I showed up at this concert expecting great seats. My tickets were for the second row. I was pumped, but when I got there I went down to the front near the stage and showed my ticket to the guide/crowd, control I guess you could call her, and she told me "Owe wow what junk seats". My heart dropped. Had I read my tickets wrong? She gives me a laugh and then says "I love messin' with the people who have front row seats". Wait did I hear her right? Yes, I had read my tickets wrong I had front row tickets not 2nd row. Anyway the concert was the most amazing experience I have ever had. It even topped seeing +LIVE+ in Muskegon last year. They rocked out. Of course the guys started out a little slow with their sun glasses on but by Lakini's Juice the entire crowd was pumping out energy. Lakini's Juice set it off like an explosion. Then came Dolphins Cry and I Alone was in your face. Ed was going crazy. Pat was putting down a nice bass line. Chad T. was blowin up the crowd. Adam threw a pick to my girlfriend. And I ended up with one of Chad Gracey's Sticks!!!!!! Ed had some comic relief during White, Discussion as he messed up his own lyrics. He recovered very well though. Ed then invited some ladies named Sophia from the crowd onto stage to dance with him for the next song. Voodoo Lady Calmed the crowd down... And the band ended with a singalong of Dance With You. The perfect song to end the night on. |

This was my 6th LIVE show and they get better everytime. I was a little worried when I heard an interview on the radio with Chad (the drummer) - Ed was supposed to do the interview but he was resting his voice. I had read he was in the emergency room just a few days ago. But I need not worry, he sounded Awesome. The show started about 8:30 (no opening band). My husband and I were in row K. It was weird that it was daylight for the first half of the show. The crowed was not into it as much as they should have been. I am always amazed that people can sit with all that energy and excitment around them... When the band played Sofia Ed asked if anyone was named Sofia... Of course I yelled and he invited me on stage... Along with a few other girls... He gave us each a beer (Corona) and we were able to dance while he sang. (Yes I am still smiling about this 3 days later). When we left the stage we were told we could have 1 back stage pass each... I took 2. (My husband was waiting in our seats for me). We waited about an hour after the show with some other fans to get back stage. They took us back and the band came out. Took photos and signed autographs. They are all really nice guys. I also got Adam's (Ed's brother) autograph. This is by far the best concert experience I have ever had. If anyone was at the show and has photo's of me on satge could you please email them to me mfench@hotmail.com |

Despite the voice problems, Ed put on a tremendous show. You could hardly tell he was having problems. I have been to many, many +LIVE+ concerts in my lifetime and this ranks up there as one of the best. The intensity of the show was absolutely astounding. I had the pleasure of meeting the guys after the show and this is where you could tell that Eddie's voice was straining. He was very quiet and didn't talk much but he was more than willing to pose for picutres and interact with his fans. |
