I had read some reviews of those saying the recent concerts were the best they had seen, and I have to agree 100%. I've seen Live play about 7 times and this setlist was just awesome. When Live started playing, it was raining so they had to cover up the speakers, which made the sound sound muffled and way too low. A few songs in it had stopped and they removed the
plastic which made it loud and amazing. Compared to the show in 2004 at City Stages, this one was way better, 100% better. Everyone was right on and the band was tight. I couldn't believe they played Iris, one of my favorite Live song's ever, as I had not seen the setlist before tonight. Also, the addition of I Walk The Line was crazy, when they started playing that I freaked out. The crowd seemed pretty much into it, being a type of festival event, you don't get that alot. Of course everyone knew Lightning Crashes and The Dolphins Cry. Even though I was soaked, I have to say this was the best Live show ever. Period. |

I loved the concert. Live was great as usual. The rain cooled us off. The security guard almost poured a whole bottle of water on me before the rain started. I didn't ask for water, someone else did, his aim was bad. It was funny! I love Live but I think I'm getting too old or woosy. I hate being smooshed and people flying overhead! Ed, please do some assigned seating concerts and I'll be the first to get tickets. Ok, enough complaining! It was worth it to have eye contact! They can see you singing all their songs, even attempting the new ones... must be an ego boost. My husband is a musician and has played guitar for over 30 years. He's just starting at writing lyrics, but he can play like Steve Vai so I can imagine how awesome it must be to be on stage. I liked Ed's addition of U2's "Bad" in one of the songs. I really liked "Show", which is really sexy like "Lakini's Juice". Ed, please play "Deep Enough" in Little Rock! I liked "Dance With You" at the end when we all sang "We all want to dance with you". I feel like it is a call to be one with god. Well, 'till Riversfest, Adieu. |
