19) White, Discussion |

I must say, the rendition of White,
Discussion was one of the best I've seen. How insane was that? I love it when Taylor
just leans the guitar against the stack and let the guitar play itself. After everyone
exited the stage, Chad came back out, picked up the guitar and played a bit of Let's
Make Some Feedback . I think my favorite part of WD is when Patrick decides to walk
up to his amp and crank up the settings... oh how the low end just kinda travels
through your body. Ed looked like he was ready to ram against Taylor's speaker stack
again, he nearly knocked it over in Sydney. In the end he climbed up on the drum
riser and looked like he wanted to dive on Chad Gracey's drumming.. lol. |

This was an odd show. Very little crowd
involvement, just song after song after song. The lights were dimmed in between every
song, and their was near silence. This killed off any vibe that was created from
the well known songs. Their was little vibe for the new songs as the crows seemed
unfamiliar with them, and were only into the radio favourites. Having said that the
new songs rocked just as hard if not harder than the older ones, other than white
discussion which was mental at the end. 19 songs was also quite pleasing. Over all
though the atmosphere and vibe were not what they were '00 or even '01.
We staked out the band after the show and managed to meet and say hi to them. Got
my copy of BoP signed by Ed and Chad G. That was the highlight of the night for me.
Train was meh. The singer left himslef on a hiding to nothing when he said something
about Meet Virginia being considered a massive hit in USA, so if we could all pretend
this is USA.
Good concert, not a great perfomance. |
