We turned up at about 5.30 pm, and
there was already a group of about 15 friends sitting at the front of the line. So
we went up and Bronny got up and introduced everyone to us (it was really cool to
meet you all!)
We finally got let in and ran to the front, the albums started showing on the big
screen, and "V" got the biggest cheer I thought. They started off with
I Alone and the crowd went nuts, i think my favorite of the night was Shit Towne
and Lakini's Juice. Up until Lakini's Juice the crowd was really good, but when that
started it got a bit squishy.
Iota and The Lizardmen were alright, the crowd was polite to them, they were kind
of weird, the whole way through each of the songs the singer was marching on the
spot, it looked funny. The drummer also broke his snare so they played a song "this
is the song we play when the drummers gone, he broke his snare.. this is the song
we play when the drummer gets back" crowd thought it was funny.
Back to Live, I think it was the best live concert out of the four I've been to,
we got two encores and Ed looked really happy he was beaming the whole time.
It was a great night and it was really cool to meet all the friends, hopefully we
can do it again next year if they come! |

We had a great time and I think the
stage was better than the BEC as it seemed lower and I felt closer to LiVE. Shame
about not being able to take a drink in with us. I was so thirsty after.
My highlight was Running To Stand Still as I have always loved that song. Edward
sang it so well it brought tears to my eyes.
My calves felt like they were cramping up during the night but they are OK today.
Definately worth it.
Iota & the Lizard Men were alright since I didn't know any of their songs - lucky
I had earplugs for this as I felt I was being blown away by the speakers. I took
my earplugs out for LiVE.
The crowd always seems to keep to themselves. No one usually seems interested in
chatting beforehand. Although, we have made friends with a couple from Sydney when
we flew down there for a concert a couple of years ago. It's a shame most tend to
be standoffish.
My other highlight of the night was to meet the band after. They are all very nice.
Got a couple of photos and signatures. Hurray!!!! We also met another nice couple
from South Africa.
One of best concerts I've seen and I hope it is not the last. LiVE have been very
inspirational in my life and to others I have introduced to their music.
I feel kind of sad that it is over until next time. |

Well I just got my Live fix for the
year, and what a fix it was!!! Possibly the best concert I've ever been too. The
crowd seemed right into it (well I was into it anyway, hard not to be when you're
front row and next to 20 other people you've been lining up all day with waiting
for the gig!!). I think I busted a groove muscle or two during White, Discussion!
Highlights: Rock version of TSUFL, Like I Do, White, Discussion!! We got Maz's banner
(Mark 2) up on stage (damn I hope there is a photo somewhere of that). Drinks with
the boys and Jimmy after the show. Sure I didn't get to have a chat with the boys
or Jimmy themselves, but they seemed to be having fun and I had a great time meeting
all the rest of you lovely people anyway.
I hope everyone enjoys the rest of the tour and gets back home safely! |

There goes yet another LiVE concert
that ROCKED Brisbane! We are the biggest LiVE fans ever! We love them, and even if
they had played for 24 hours straight - it just wouldn't have been enough to satisfy
our year long thirst!!! Why do their concerts ever have to end!!??
Ed's performance was outstanding, and the rush from being in the same room as the
boys and seeing them all on stage singing their hit songs was beyond describable!
We were Hearing 'The Distance' played acoustically with Gracey on the drums, was
one of the best things ever, we knew all the words. Ed is so talented, and he, Taylor,
Gracey and Pat gave the most mind blowing and amazing rock show ever! We also really
loved their performances of 'Lakini's Juice,' 'Shit Towne,' 'White Discussion,' and
'Overcome.'
The only disappointment of the night was that the majority of our fellow LiVE fans
who were seated behind us in the crowd did not stand up and dance in the seated area,
so every time we wanted to we felt we couldn't! Promise us that next time you will
all totally get into it more and stand up and rock on! Oh, and where was our Run
to the Water rendition...? Where were our third and forth encore songs Ed??!! All
this aside though, the concert was just one huge adrenalin rush!
Congratulations to the support band Iota and the Lizard Man. They put on an awesome
show. Their songs had a great beat, and the lead singer had a great voice. He was
also a fantastic entertainer and improviser!
LiVE should definitely come back next year, and the year after that, and so on until
forever. |
