Can we say 1% rocks!!?? Thanks for all your well wishes! WE GOT IN!! My sob story worked! It wasn't even that difficult. The lady who let us in was soooo nice. I don't smoke, but props to the Parliament people! We had a major White, Discussion chant going, but no luck. I was still happy though.

The guys looked amazing. Ed with his black tank top and funky dark shades, Pat was chilling, of course, in his own Live world and Chad Taylor's hair is growing in. It looks great and he has a goatee (how the heck do you spell that?) again. His orange jacket and orange sun glasses rocked! I sang and danced the entire time. Even though Chad Gracey was propped high up, I didn't see him much. :( I was just dancing way too much! Adam is such a rock star, he wore all black and these shiny, white shoes. I guess only he can get away with that crazy look!

We got to meet up with a few FOL fans...Charlene and Heather. We were so happy to see them. The four of us soaked every moment in and made the absolute best of every minute we were there! We made some new friends, which is always nice, and I got to hang with a guy I work with and his girlfriend. It was their first Live show and he went home with a drum stick, guitar pick and a picture of his girlfriend with Ed and Chad Taylor on each side of her. LUCKY GIRL! It was an amazing evening... I didn't feel worthy!

The good news! WE GOT IN!!! Thank you to everyone for sending the positive mojo and good thoughts our way. The room the concert was in was way cool. Very loungeish set-up. Very retro. Onto the show. Aaron Lewis from staind is simpy amazing. His voice is soo pure, one of the few singers I've ever seen that sounds just like he does in concert as he does on CD. He played totally acoustic. Just Aaron and two guitars on stage, no monitors nothing. It was amazing. He played Gods forgive me I can't remember the song title, the one that says Don't shake me cause I must be sleeping. Ephinany. Zoe Jane, it's been awhile. He also did a few covers. Black by Pearl Jam, You are my shooting star, I don't know who sings that, an Alice in Chains song, war pigs by sabath and sober by tool. The man is amazing on that guitar! He did war pigs sooo well! He messed lyrics up quite a bit, but that's understandable considering he was doing covers. I was just SOOO happy to see him, NO eyebrow ring tho, which upset me a bit it's what made him super sexy to me. Alot of peope commented on his "bling" he was wearing this amazing watch which just sparkled man. It was gorgeous. Aaron played for just about an hour. He came on at 8 and ended around 9.

Live then took the stage, about 9:40 (Are our boys ever on time? Heh) They opened with Like I do. We couldn't hear Ed very well and thought he was having sound issues, turns out we were just too close to the stage. The speakers were set-up on each side of the stage kinda extended out.. It was an awesome show! The energy! They playfullness! I swear these boys love Atlantic City cause when they play here they play like men possessed. Taylor was wearing the infamous orange jacket, and ripped jeans, at one point during the show I thought I saw panties! I was like argh! I didn't need to see that, a bit later on I realized it was a patch and was much relieved. Adam was dressed all in black with white patent leather loafers? IT waas a bad bad look! During Lightning Crashes he looked kinda bored before his guitar part came in, so I was waving at him and he waved back! It's always so cool to be acknowledged. Taylor and Ed were very playful during the night, that's the only way to describe it. Ed kept like giving Taylor noogies and kicking him in the arse, at one point Ed turned to Taylor's normal side of the stage and Taylor wasn't there! He was over with Patrick! It was quite amusing. Ed also had new shoes on looked like swim shoes that you would wear surfing..Yes only a true fan notices these things.

It was a great show and a great night and I'm so happy and SO LOVE tina for taking me with her.

What a freaking night huh?! Let me tell you, the word of the night was, "con artists!". hahaha. The venue in the Borgata was called "Event Room". Really creative huh? Ed did mention Awake, but anybody in the first 7 "rows" couldn't hear it that well because like Beth said, the speakers were behind us. The crowd started off slow, except for a small group of about 7 of us. I think that was mainly because Aaron's set was acoustic and mostly very slow/quieter songs. But after some dude cut through the crowd to the front and pissed everybody off (then security took him out), people got their energy. Everybody started jumping around and rocking out. I have to mention about the various comments I heard in the crowd. Before the show started, one guy was like, "I can't believe Aaron Lewis is opening for Live?? It should be the other way around". Well during the middle of the show we see him rocking out harder than anyone and he mentions to Heather that he was wrong and that Live kicks ass. I also heard another guy say that he didn't realize that he knew so many Live songs. There was still another guy in the crowd that summed it up best: "Live fucking kicks ass! I would never have known!" The pit that formed during "I Alone" cracked me up. It was fun to be in an animated crowd again (yeah I'm crazy. I know some people can't stand rowdy crowds which I can understand). I got pushed only once, beer spilled a few times during the show on some people, and there were some rude people. BUT..it was all worth it to be able to sweat like I did from dancing around so much, lose my voice from screaming/singing so much, and getting to hear the huge group of guys around us yell out the words to Live songs that weren't Lighting Crashes.
