Well, this was my 3rd show in 4 days.
It was an awesome show with a lot of energy. The guys were on fire and the crowd
ate it all up! The highlight of the show was when they played "All along the
watchtower". I thought I might faint when Ed started playing it. I have to agree
with Laura, knowing that it was the last show (for now) gave me mixed emotions. Bottom
line is the show was AWESOME!!!!! |

This was my 3rd time seeing these guys
in concert. And boy was the 3rd time a charm! There was so much energy pumping through
the crowd! Every song sung to profection. Music played at the best harmony. Now one
side comment on Ed, damn is he lookin good! Buffed up since I last saw him and he
shaved his entire front side! Couldn't believe he shaved off his signature furry
belly. Not complaining tho cause it was good. Saw the Taylor stomp a few times. Crowd
was jumpin to every beat. This was the most lively I've seen the guys in a while!
Very good show, 2 thumbs way up! |

Ed came out to do Overcome for the
encore then decided All Along the Watchtower would be a good substitute! Imagine
that! Anyways, Ed did about half the song solo on acoustic then the rest of the band
kicked in to jam out the rest of the song, very very cool. The crowd was excellent,
needless to say they were properly punished with a rather brutal sonic assault known
as White, Discussion! |

The show was so freaking phenomenal!!
The energy was 120% from all sides, as far as I could tell. One of the things that
is sticking out (now that I've escaped the hurricane and made it back home) is the
change in the setlist where "LMO" was s'posed to be and, I think, "Shit
Towne" came out. Then watching Zach trying to put Ed's guitar on him, and Ed
shooing him away was hilarious, from my vantage point. The guys were just on fire!!
Knowing it was my last show of, probably, the year, and after such an amazing month
(5 shows), I was a little emotional (read: insane) throughout the entire thing. Every
song seemed more electric and everyone - onstage and off - appeared to be having
the time of their lives. Being the rabid Dylan fan I am, I heard the first two notes
of "All Along The Watchtower" and lost my MIND. Ed's solo accoustic rendering
was so beautiful and moving, then once the band joined in, I think parts of my mind
truly left this plane.
I found myself getting a little overwhelmed on "LC" started...knowing 'the
end was near' and NOT knowing when I'd be in that precise headspace again. I shed
a few tears and I'm woman enough to say it, demmit! Jimmy was dead on accurate with
the statement that we were "punished" with that version of "White,
Discussion". It was decidedly urgent and raw. Unbelievably perfect. It was a
fabulous night. I couldn't have asked for a single thing more.
The night wore on, and on, after the show, and so much transpired. I remember in
York a few of us said it was like our first show all over again, and that was SO
wonderful. This was double that, I think. For me, anyway. Thank you guys, thank you
Jimmy, thank you fellow fans! For a night I'll never forget and that will never fail
to make me smile like an idiot when I think of it. |
