Wow! What a show! There was so much reciprocal energy between the band and the San Diego crowd. The guys really looked like they were loving this as the crowd was totally into the vibe of Ed's lyrics. Ed seemed to really enjoy getting the hundreds of us to utter profound truths in unison at high decibel levels. Though Chad seemed a bit upset with the sound he was getting out of his guitar (maybe in the monitors), I thought the sound on the floor was fantastic. They really created a seamless wall of sound. As I'm sure the many fans that frequent this site know well, Live is the kind of band that makes its greatest impact, well, live. Total energy and synchrony with the audience. It was great to hear so much of the new material - lots of catchy tunes. The real gift in the whole thing for me was for the band to finish with "Dance With You". The lyrics are so deep and meaningful to me - I felt like they had heard my secret request to do that song, and as a close, it was truly a gift. I was just yelling, "God bless you, Eddie!" Great show...a real honor to have been there.

The HOB San Diego show was no exception to Anaheim's show. Absolutely amazing!! I heard a heckler busting Gosling's balls from upstairs, which wasn't cool. I thought they were pretty damn good. I'm glad the guy shut his piehole after a couple remarks. Anyway, Live got much love from San Diego. Ed said he needed a 6 pack of Redbull to keep up with the crowd! It was wild! It was good to hear Shit Towne again as it relates to where I live. I almost burst a vein in my head from singing along so loud! It is so much fun to see such a crowd going nuts over Ed and the band. Chad T is incredible on that damn guitar, man it is hypnotic! Chad G just pounding those drums. I dont understand why they have him behind plexi glass. At some points, with the crowd so loud, during soft moments, it was hard to hear anything but the bass drum. But when he started wailing, I had no problem hearing it. Pat is also incredible on the bass, watching him slap those strings during Operation Spirit, it was just awesome! Ed really is the icing on the cake and half the cake too. He can draw a crowd so well and get people pumped full of energy. His voice draws you in. You want more! I'll tell you what though, after two back to back shows like San Diego and Anaheim, I was fucking BEAT! Ears are STILL ringing, and the show was Monday!!!! but ya know, I would do it all over it in a second. Peace and love to Live. Rock on brothers!
