Well, the rain held off for the most...no
torrential downpours or 2 inches of rain as forecast. The show was awesome! Front
row in the pit! Doesn't get much better than that! They played the standard setlist,
nothing new thrown in there. But as Dan pointed out, Ed did mention that they are
releasing the greatest hits cd/dvd. And when they played Lightning Crashes, Ed said
that his 2nd daughter was just born and that everytime they play this song, it gets
a little weirder (or something like that...i don't remember the exact comment). And
at the end of the show, i caught a drumstick, so now i have a pair! |

The show was fun although there were
a few sound problems. All of the bands seemed to be having those issues though. The
setlist was standard but a little shortened due to the curfew. We had front row in
the pit and I got to touch Ed's hand while he was singing. Twenty three shows and
that was the first time I ever got to do that. It's a little thing but it made me
very happy. It was also nice to see Ed up so close and shirtless. I have to say that
also made me very happy. Taylor looks a bit different, he seems to have shaved off
most of his hair.
The crowd was great, they were singing along to ALL of the songs and Ed seemed to
really enjoy that. I tell you, DC area crowds are the best! They are Live crazy there!
All in all it was a good show and I enjoyed myself immensely as always. New setlist,
old setlist, whatever I love this band and can't wait for the next time. |

The show was good. Visually it was
awesome. Sonically (at least where we were standing) it was horrible. Not the band's
fault though because the sound was shit all night. besides that it was great. I just
know they can sound a whole hell of a lot better when the bass isn't cranked up and
drowning out the vocals of every song. Touching Ed's hand was pretty cool. Even though
I was mad that we were standing on the wrong side of the damn stage!!! I still could
see Adam from where we were but it would have been better to be directly in front
of the shaker-punch! But I must say that Ed's hands are as soft as adam's hair. I'm
always impressed with a band that moisturizes and conditions on a regular basis!
Oh man that crazy Creed guy from the first band, as soon as he walked on stage I
was scared. Then we had to have eye contact and he scared me even more. And finally
he went psycho and tried to rip out my friend Jen's hair! That was one of the funniest
things I've ever seen.
Lake Trout. well, I know they're bad. Last night they seemed worse than the first
time. Maybe because we had to sit through 2 other bands to get to them. It was getting
tedious. I just hope I never have to see Lake Trout ever again. Because you really
couldnt stop it if you wanted to!
Anyway it was a great night hanging with the girls and our pimp. No altercations!
You couldn't ask for any more than that. Can't wait for York and Delaware! |
