Between the Futures game and the Celebrity
game, they hauled all the sound/stage equipment onto the field at second base all
set up and ready, like a big Live parade. Super high tech. During the Futures game,
the music person in the ballpark had been playing clips of Live songs maybe to warm
people up or something. It helped build the excitement! When Live came out before
the Celebrity game, they played Heaven and Sanctity of Dreams. The band seemed to
be having fun and it was a really cool setting to see them in. The crowd seemed happy
to see them and they were really well received, but they didn't go TOTALLY crazy
(like I did, hee).
The whole experience was really exciting and kinda surreal, because right before
their performance, I went and stood in the area behind home plate so I could have
the best view of them. Just before they came out, I saw Ryan from the Bachelorette,
then a minute later, Jamie too. It was just... strange! Then it got even weirder
when all the team mascots from various major league teams went up to Live's stage
and started dancing around. Some of them were dancing on top of the dugouts too.
It was one of the funniest things I ever saw! Fluffy monsters and a horse and a bear
and some baseball-headed creatures, etc, all dancing and jumping around in front
of Live, with speakers surrounding the infield and celebrities everywhere. It was
like a dream! But of course, it was already a dream to see Live again. |
