WOW!!! What a great show last night
in Jackson, I think Live won over alot of new fans. There was alot of young kids
and older people in their 40's and 50's all rocking out having a good ol' time.
I was up front at the barricade and was in front and I told tay-tay he better stomp
for us, he did lol, boy did he ever stomp lol.
I waved at Ed he waved back. Then I get kicked in the head by one of them crowd surfers,
who ever invented that should have been shot, people get hurt and it is totally fucking
stupid, and I got kicked in the head, only downfall of the night.
I went to the side and watch in a safer environment, it was a great show, got back
home at around 5 am, but man I am looking forward to seeing them in September in
Nashville. |

Great show, my first live show! It
totally rocked. And kudos to whoever had the sign for "Shit Towne"
as Jackson truly is a shitty town, and we got to hear a song they dont do every night.
I was a little disappointed they sacrificed "Selling the Drama" to
do it though since I havent ever seen it live. Live definitely kicked Switchfoot's
ass from Friday night, and I thought the people were much more into Live than Switchfoot.
Of course most of the people at the switchfoot show looked about 14 or 15 and
were walking around drinking beers and didnt even seem to know there was a
concert going on. I thought the younger people at the live show(myself included)
were a much more mature crowd. Anyway, awesome show, definitely not my last
Live concert. |

I was floored by the show. My only
previous experience with Live in concert was through the concert aired on the Trio
network. I was overjoyed when I read Live was on the Jubillee Jam roster. I got off
work at 11:00 PM and floored it over to downtown just in time to catch them walk
on stage. Ed was SO AWESOME. He worked the crowd effortlessly, joking with everyone.
During the encore he looks at a guy in front and says, "Well, we've gotta play
this song. This guy's been holding up a sign all night. He looks real mean. So we're
gonna play it! Just kidding. You look really nice, man." And WHAM they kicked
into Shite Towne. Is it just me or has Ed developed the most phenomenal vocal range?
He popped out those high notes left and right. Show me another rock god who can play
a concert and stroll back out for the encore and play an acoustic ballad (Turn My
Head) with more vocal finesse than on the album! He eschewed most of the screaming
and growling he's so fond of on the records for a clean tenor that gave me chills.
The band was brilliant. My one complaint? The show was just a little over an hour!
I wanted more!! |
