Ok, so I just got back from Cirkus
in Stockholm....This was my second show with Live (last one being in -99) and I must
say that this was better! It was A great show with all my favourite songs. Run Away,
Lakini´s Juice, I Alone, Heaven were in there. Lakini's Juice was great!
I don't remember the complete setlist, but there were alot from TC and TDTH. They
started with Like I do, Lightning Crashes was in there, and Dolphins.....Hope someone
will post the setlist cause I really can not remember.
All I can say is that it was a great show, the guys seemed to have a great time,
and they really got the crowd going! My only dissapointment is that it was to short....
Thanks Live for the great night! Oh...and Adam was great as opener! Loved the songs! |

I'm sorry, but all the magic that was
there when they played Cirkus back in 1999 was gone.
Setlist was identical to the Brussels show, but with White, Discussion following
Lightning Crashes immediately without a second encore break.
The crowd reaction was close to none during the first two songs. Then came their
now famous Greatest Hits Paradeô. Not that I have anything against them playing the
hits, but something was terribly wrong! It felt like everything was forced, like
everything was played completely without passion!
The TDTH songs sounded terrible without the keyboards. Especially They Stood Up For
Love and The Dolphin's Cry.
What I appreciate the most about Live's music is that their songs are so "big",
powerful and passionate, despite their lack of technical skills. But tonight, none
of those elements were present. They were simply going on routine. Even crowd anthems
like I Alone and Lightning Crashes sounded tame.
I've been waiting for this moment to come ever since they cancelled at Roskilde 2000,
and this is what I get..
Have they ever been this uninspired before!?
Highlights:
* Adam's beautiful solo performance.
* Like I Do and Lighthouse.. Although the crowd begged to differ.
* Run To The Water and Lightning Crashes.. Among the few ones I really enjoyed.
* White, Discussion.. Always wanted to hear it in concert.
This might have worked for a festival or something, but I'd expect more out of a
headline show. I'm dissapointed. |
