Review by Kevin Shipley of Arizona
I bought tickets to the Tempe Music Festival for one reason and one reason only and that was to see Live. Live has been my favorite band (PERIOD) since I first heard Throwing Copper and since then have bought every album that has been released. Arizona was the first time I had ever seen Live and they were just as amazing as I have always pictured they would be. There is no way that I could pick one or two moments that I absolutely loved from the concert because the entire thing was perfect. But I did enjoy the anticipation and adrenaline rush I received when the stage was being set up for them, I even took a picture. My first experience of Live “live” was awesome and I can’t wait to see them a million more times.

Good show although a little weird at the beginning because Taylor was having lots of problems with his sound connections. They seemed to get that all worked out a few songs in.

Some highlights for me, Operation Spirit, Running to Stand Still and White Discussion. I don't believe I've ever heard Operation Spirit live. So that was a nice treat.

Was SO happy they played Running to Stand Still. Larry Mullen Jr. is one my favorite musicians and to see another of my favorite musicians play his part on that song was just beyond wonderful. Gracey stepped up very nicely indeed. The cover is great and psyched me up for the two U2 shows I'm going to in a few weeks.

White Discussion they just tore up. It was SO good. Ed shaking about and dancing on the drum riser and taking a precarious trip on a piece of scaffolding. Gracey pounding the life out of his drums. Amazing!

They didn't play anything new but Ed mentioned they hoped to have the new album ready by November.
