"Friends
Of Live" has posted
a new video
of Ed and Slash performing "Imagine" (from the recent "Peace On The
Beach" performance, held on February 15th in Santa Monica, California), as well
as some new photos from this event. LIVE have confirmed a new tour date
for March 23rd at "The Boathouse" in Norfolk, Virginia. Tickets, which
will cost $25, will go on-sale via Ticketmaster on Saturday (March 1st) at 10am EDT
(a link to purchase tickets has been added to the Tour Section).
Baltimore-based band "Lake Trout" will be opening for LIVE at every concert from March 23rd to March
30th, with exception of the March 28th concert in Philadelphia. LIVE will perform
their first tour date in over 3 months tonight at "Caesar's Tahoe" in Lake
Tahoe, Nevada. Setlists and reviews from the dates scheduled this weekend will be
added to Setlist & Review Section as they become available. "Friends Of Live" have informed
me that LIVE's management have approved the interview with Ed from the WMMR Radio
Station I sent them, so they will be posting it on their site during the beginning
of next week (as soon as the downloads for the current "Imagine" download
subside some). The "Zeta 94.9" radio station in Miami, Florida has posted
some new pictures to their site, which are from Ed's appearance at
their station on February 13th (thanks to Art Vanderlay of Australia for sharing
this link with us). "What Are We Fighting For" has been receiving decent
airplay on the "Triple M" radio station in Melbourne, Australia. And the newsletter
provider has been switched back to the original provider (from which the first 78
issues were sent out). Have A Nice Weekend! |

"Friends
Of Live" is planning
on taking the links down (on their site) to the mp3 of "What Are We Fighting
For" on Thursday morning. However, they "plan on replacing this removed
mp3 with something exciting!", so make sure to stay tuned to their site for
the latest surprise they have for everyone (as well as the WMMR interview with Ed
that I sent them). A cover of "The Dolphin's Cry" by Christian Storb (lead
singer of "Nojar") of Muenster, Germany is now available for download in
the Cover
Contest Section on the site.
Adam Kowalczyk (Ed's brother) and his band, "Adam & The Weight", will be holding their cd release party
on March 13th at 8pm PDT at the "Key Club" in Los Angeles, California. The Live Lounge Newsletter (Issue 79)
was sent out today on the new newsletter provider, however I wasn't aware that the
new provider posts ads in the e-mails that are sent out. Therefore, I will be switching
back to the old provider. If you haven't subscribed to the newsletter yet, please
visit the Newsletter Section
to subsribe now! And the current poll will be extended until next week... according
to the current results, the majority of voters (62%) feel that
"What Are We Fighting For" is AWESOME. |

As mentioned last Thursday, Ed Kowalczyk
was interviewed on the WMMR Radio Station
in Philadelphia, Pennysylvania. I managed to get ahold of a copy of this interview
from the radio station, which I have forwarded to "Friends Of Live". Pending approval from LIVE's management,
they should have it up for download within the next couple of days. As of this past
Saturday (February 22nd), I have switched hosts for The Live Lounge Newsletter (due
to growing problems with the previous host). In order to receive future copies of
the newsletter, you will need to send a blank e-mail to the address listed in the
Newsletter
Section (please contact
me if you have any questions.
And a remix of "Like A Soldier" by Nick Terlizzi of Scarsdale, New York
is now available for download in the Cover Contest Section on the site. |

I just received word that LIVE will
be performing at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida on March 21st.
Event and ticket info for this concert has yet to be announced, but will be added
to the site as it becomes available. The March 26th concert at The Vanderbilt in
Plainview, New York has been moved to a new location. The show will now be held at
Hofstra University (Hofstra Arena) in Hempstead, New York. A tentative on-sale date
has been set for March 5th (tickets will only be available at the campus box office
or by calling 516-463-6600). And a cover of "Run Away" by Clay Lancaster
of Santa Cruz, California (lead singer of the band "SoMa") has been added to the Cover Contest Section. |

I have added a new mp3 sample of "Like
I Do" (from the 11/22/02 concert at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster,
Pennysylvania) to the New Song Samples section of the site. Apparently, if you list LIVE as your favorite
band when you sign up for the "WMMR Card" on the WMMR Radio Station website, you should receive a pair of tickets to
the March 28th concert at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennysylvania when you
receive your card in the mail (as have several people so far). And tickets for the
March 24th concert at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia went on-sale this morning
at 10am EDT. Ticket information for this concert is located in the Tour Section.

"The Rock FM" radio station in New Zealand is holding its annual "Rock
1000" poll, in which
voters get to vote for their favorite 1,000 rock songs of all time. Last year, 10
LIVE songs were featured on this list (the list was only 500 songs last year). Hopefully
this year, with your votes, we can get many more LIVE songs featured on the list,
so make sure to vote now!
A big thanks to Lisa Arentzen of Norristown, Pennysylvania for donating the "Overcome"
cd single for the Cover & Remix Contest! The Live Lounge Newsletter (Issue 78) was sent out today... if you

Ed Kowalczyk appeared in Santa Monica,
California on Saturday (February 15th) at "Peace On The Beach". Ed performed
"Imagine" and "What Are We Fighting For", alongside Slash from
"Guns
N' Roses". Jimmy from

complete interview on Zeta 94.9 (with the complete songs), I would appreciate it
greatly if you would contact me.
Thanks a bunch! |

morning. He played 2 new songs, "Like I Do" and "What Are We Fighting

Of Pray". He mentioned that they are currently mixing the album in Miami, and
hope to the album out in June, followed by a world tour. Ed also mentioned that LIVE

in coming to his album release party in Los Angeles (which will be within the next
month or two) of his new band, "Adam & The Weight". If you are interested

pass to meet LIVE and a ticket to the concert of their choice! Also, congratulations
to Manuela Keggenhoff (of Muenster, Germany) and Chi Michael Lee (of Old Lyme, Connecticut),

a new mp3 sample of "Life Marches On" to the New Song Samples section on the site (this sample is from the 11/22/02 concert at
Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennysylvania). I spent alot of time
mixing this song (it sounded horrible before I messed around with it), so I hope
you enjoy it! I have been extremely busy this past week with the contest and problems
with the site (among other things), so I was unable to record a new sample of "Like
I Do", however I will try to get to it as soon as I get some free time, and
have it up on the site by next week. 6 new pictures from the studio have been added
to the Album
6 Section. Tickets go on-sale

New York (a link to purchase ticket is located in the Tour Section).

The winners of the FansOfLive Contest will be announced sometime during tomorrow (sorry for the delays).
I wanted to thank all 122 fans who entered the contest! There were so many great
entries, and I'm sure LIVE would be honored if they were to read some of them. Now
it's time to move on to another new contest! I will be starting a new LIVE Cover/Remix
Contest sometime this week, so stay tuned for more details on that! |

LIVE will be performing on March 24th
at Burruss Auditorium on the campus of Virginia Tech (Virginia Polytechnic Institute
& State University) in Blacksburg, Virginia. Event and ticket info will be added
to the site as it becomes available. The "Life Marches On" sample is no
longer being streamed (to cut down on bandwidth). However, it is being offered as
a RealPlayer download instead. You may download this sample (same sample as
the streamed one) in the "Life Marches On" Section. Also, I plan to re-record the song and put a new
sample up in .mp3 format sometime this weekend or early next week (I'll try and make
it a little bit longer than the current sample, too). Have A Nice Weekend! |
Wednesday,
February 5th, 2003 |

"Life Marches On" (from the 11/22/02 concert at Franklin & Marshall
College in Lancaster, Pennysylvania) to a new section
on the site (this sample clip requires RealPlayer, which is a free download for mac's and pc's.). I
will be posting a sample from "Like I Do" (from the same concert listed
above) next Wednesday (February 12th). Tickets for the February 8th and March 1st
concerts at Caesar's Tahoe in Lake Tahoe, Nevada went on-sale at 10am PDT this morning
via Ticketmaster (a link to purchase tickets has been added to the Tour Section).
Tickets for the March 29th concert at Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York will go
on-sale next Wednesday (February 12th) at 10am EDT via Ticketmaster (a link to purchase
tickets has been added to the Tour Section).
I will be announcing the winners from the FansOfLive Contest on Monday (February 10th), as I still have many entries to still
go through, before I choose the winners. The site registered it's 50,000th unique
visitor this morning, and now has over 67,000 page hits (since the new domain opened).
Also, we now have over 420 newsletter subscribers! Thanks again to all of you for
your continued support! The Live Lounge Newsletter (Issue 76) was sent out today...
if you haven't subscribed yet, subscribe now!
And with 56% of the votes, the majority of voters LOVE the new lyrics to "Life
